We believe a uniform allows all pupils, regardless of background, to feel equal to their peers and confident in their appearance. We also believe it is important for activities to be facilitated by specialised and appropriate clothing such as sports specific attire.

 

Shinewater Primary School is committed to ensuring equality and value for money, and that no pupil is discriminated against due to their religion or belief, economic circumstances or social and cultural background. It is important that our pupils feel a sense of belonging and community through a smart and practical uniform.

Logo school uniform is not compulsory but can be bought from the school providor. We do require the school colours which are listed below.

WINTER UNIFORM

This can be worn throughout the year

Grey or black knee length skirt or grey or black traditional trousers.
White blouse/Shirt or polo shirt. School logo polo shirts are available to buy from our school supplier. 
Royal blue sweatshirt or cardigan. School logo items are available to buy from our school supplier. 
Black school shoes only. 
Black, grey or white socks/tights.

OPTIONAL SUMMER UNIFORM

Blue and white checked dress with short sleeves or traditional grey/black tailored shorts.
Socks, colours as above, must be worn.

PE KIT
White T-Shirt (with or without the school logo)

Black or navy shorts

Trainers (not designer) or plimsolls 

Black/blue/grey joggers/ plain hoodies may be worn outside for PE during the winter

JEWELLERY

One pair of stud earrings are permitted in school. Pupils are not permitted to wear any other jewellery in the school grounds, due to health and safety risks. Watches can be worn once children are able to tell the time.  Pupils are not permitted to wear smart watches or watches with cameras. This will be reviewed on a case by case situation. The school is not responsible for any losses.

 

MAKE-UP

Pupils are not permitted to wear makeup in school. 

 

LABELLING

All clothing and footwear should be clearly labelled with the pupil’s name. Items that are not labelled will be placed in Lost Property.
